When it comes to writing a persuasive essay, you are always going to need to support your claims no matter the topic. Persuasive essays will usually have you dealing with researching your topics and providing facts or statistics. Research essays are almost the exact same thing, only that you are just providing the reader(s) with information about your topic rather than siding with you on your opinion. These two very similar types of essays will make you conduct the same amount of research in order to fully complete the piece of writing.

The research in a persuasive essay is to have ideas. Sometimes we use quotes to know what our thesis will be.

In a persuasive essay you are always going to need textual evidence to support your writing. Reasearch is also the same because you are also looking for something to compare and prove what you are writing about.
